Question & Answer

Q: Is the Saltdean Singing club a Choir?

A: The Saltdean Singing Club is a little different than a choir. It is a way of developing your own, individual vocal/musical skills in an online, supportive and fun environment. This doesn't mean that we won't use a little bit of technical magic at times to get members singing together. We will also cover useful choral skills because who knows where things may take us in the future!

Q: Can children join?

A. Children are very welcome to join. They must get permission from an adult though and much younger children must have an adult present during the class.

Q: Do I have to sing in front of the other members?

A: Members are encouraged to share their talents with the group but if you would prefer to sing privately at home, or simply just watch the sessions, you are welcome to. No pressure here!

Q: Do I have to attend every session.

A: Members are allowed to participate as much or as little as they want. There is no problem if you miss sessions, infact you are even welcome to turn up half way through! Attendance would be appreciated though if a member has committed to a club concert/event.

(There are no refunds for missed classes)

Q: Where do sessions take place?

A: Most sessions take place on Zoom. Links are sent to members before the sessions.

Q: Why is membership so cheap?

A: Club President and vocal coach, Rachel appreciates the impact that Covid-19 has had on everyone and wanted to offer a cost effective way that the community could pursue their singing during the current situation. We look forward  to developing our club over time though and taking it to greater heights!
